Final Fantasy XIII-2 + Trailer

I cannot believe this. SquareEnix is making Final Fantasy XIII-2!! I guess, a sequel to Final Fantasy XIII. Not much information about this game yet. Hopefully, this game would be better than the original Final Fantasy XIII and the gameplay would not be too linear like in Final Fantasy XIII. They should let players able to explore the world of Final Fantasy XIII, just like in the previous Final Fantasy titles. They should not just let the players able to explore or to go back to some areas; they should allow the players to go back and explore the whole world of Final Fantasy XIII. If they do this, the game would be more immersive and interesting.

Here is the leaked scene/trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2. The video has weird blinking sounds and annoying flying texts. It might be due to the copyright thingy. You can find a better quality video by youself in youtube. Anyway, check this out. It is awesome!

There is a new character in the video. Lightning may be the female version of Cloud. So, this new guy might be a new version of Sephiroth.

Hello World! Farhan is here!

Hello World! That was my first C++ programming. I wonder, why Hello World? Why can't it be "Hey You!" or "What's Up?" or "It's Awesome!" ? By the way, my name is Mohamed Farhan Abd Rahman. Abd is actually a short form for Abdul. So, when you say my name, it should be Mohamed Farhan Abdul Rahman. Wow, what a long name, you might say. Which is the first name and which is the second/last name? The first two names are my first name and the last two names are my second/last name. I think the best way to write my name is by adding hyphens which will be like this > Mohamed-Farhan Abd-Rahman or Mohamed-Farhan Abdul-Rahman. Anyway, all my family members and friends call me "Farhan", short and simple. So, all of you guys, I mean anybody who know me or anybody who reads my blog can call me Farhan as well. Farhan means Happiness, but I don't know if I am a happy guy. Currently, I am a graduate student from Rochester Institute Technology (RIT). It is located in Rochester, New York. I am having a Masters of Science in Game Design & Development and going to graduate soon, about 1 more year to go. Coming to the states is the best thing that ever happened to me. RIT is awesome, Rochester as well. Rochester is really nice and quite place. The location here is really strategic. It's near Ontario Lake, Niagara Falls which is near to Toronto, Canada, New York City, and a lot more interesting places. Even though Niagara Falls is really near Rochester (about 1 hour from Rochester), but I still haven't gone there yet. I really want to go there someday. I came to RIT without any knowledge of C++ programming; however, through classes and courses that I have taken, I learn a lot of C++ programming. Not just that, but also using it to develop video games! Right now, I don't think I could develop a video game by myself. I mean, to design and construct the game engine or the whole game by myself...I might be able to do it, but it would take years. My focus right now is to concentrate and learn more game programming, so that I will be able to achieve my goal that is to become a game programmer and work in the game industry. That is one of my goals. I also love art design even though I don't know how to draw like a real artist. A few days ago, in one of my classes, there was a talk by an ex-RIT student which was from the same program as me. He mentioned that he was like a "jack of all trades" which "master of none". I think I am exactly like him. When I was an undergrad student, my major was in Information Technology (Multimedia Studies). I learned a lot from 2D animation, 3D animation, audio production, video production, web design (including database), Flash application to programming (C and Java). I also learned to use many kinds of software such as Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Priemere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, 3Ds Max, Lightwave and Carrara. This is the reason I feel that I am like the "jack of all trades". However, out of those skills or knowledge, Flash is one of my favorites. I have been using Flash a lot. I did a Flash magazine for my undergrad final project and also I had designed a lot of Flash components for websites. I did a lot of things using Flash, but I still need to learn a lot more. Specially with the rapid changes of technology, everything is changing so we will never stop learning. I believe that the process of learning will never stop until we die. I wonder if a person like me ("jack of all trades") could have a job position in the game industry. I hope I will be able to get a job in the game industry someday (which is not that far because I am graduating soon) and fulfill my dreams. And hopefully in the future, I would be able to design and develop my own games. I have a lot of game ideas that I would like to develop. Oh...yeah, just to let you know, I really love Role-Playing Games (RPG), more specifically, JRPG (Japanese RPG) which is not the most favorite genre for most people. Do you know that I never heard the term JRPG until I came here. I guess, in Asian country, everyone just called RPG games (Japanese or English) as RPGs. I just remembered, the day that I said to myself that I want to become a game designer was when I played my first RPG/JRPG game ever which was Phantasy Star IV (for Sega Megadrive/Genesis). A game that was released back in 1995. Wow, it has been 16 years now!! Since then, RPG has always been my favorite game genre. OK, I think I need to stop talking (typing) now. This is taking to much time. I need to work on my assignments/projects. Hmmm....I guess that's all for today and this will be my first blog entry ever! OMG! My first blog entry! and a super long entry! I am starting a new blogging journey.........Till then.....

P.S : Feel free to correct my grammar if you see any, I really appreciate it. I am still working on my English writing and grammar. See you next time! ^_^
